Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before using the Tranzit Taxi mobile application or website (collectively, "the App" or "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Your agreement to use our service

Tranzit Taxi is operated by Consumawise Shopping Ltd., which also operates Markethubtt.com.

Tranzit Taxi provides a platform for users ("Customers") to book and pre-pay for transportation services provided by independent professional drivers ("Drivers").

Service Overview and Tracking

How our service works

2.1. Booking and Pre-Payment

The Service allows Customers to book rides by manually entering pick-up and drop-off locations. Fares are calculated and paid upfront based on the distance and time calculated by our Google Maps integration.

2.2. Live GPS Tracking

Tranzit Taxi provides real-time GPS tracking capabilities. Once a driver accepts your ride and enables their location, you can view their progress and live position via the "Track Driver" section in your booking dashboard.

Note: Tracking relies on the driver's device connectivity and may be affected by network conditions.

2.3. In-App Communication & Privacy

  • Built-in Chat: Once a driver accepts your ride, a secure In-App Messaging channel becomes available. You can text your driver directly through the Tranzit App or Booking Dashboard to coordinate pickup details without sharing your personal phone number immediately.
  • Notifications: If you are not active in the app, chat messages from your driver may be sent to your email address on file to ensure you don't miss important updates.
  • Secondary Contact: Drivers may still contact you via the phone number provided (Call/WhatsApp) if you are unreachable via the in-app chat or in urgent situations.

2.4. Route Adherence

Fares are calculated based on the most efficient route. Drivers are expected to follow this route unless road conditions dictate otherwise.

Pricing and Payments

4.1. Upfront Fare

All fares are calculated in advance. The fare includes distance, time, initial flag fees, and platform fees.

4.4. Payment Methods

  • Debit/Credit Card (Recommended): Securely processed via WiPay/paywise. Note: First-time riders paying by card may be asked to complete a quick Face/ID verification to prevent fraud. Returning customers (1+ completed rides) skip this step entirely.
  • Bank Transfer / Online Transfer: Transfer funds directly to Consumawise Shopping Ltd. (Scotiabank). Proof of payment (screenshot) is mandatory before dispatch.
  • Cash Payment: Strictly limited. May only be accepted at the driver's discretion if pre-approved or if digital payment fails, and must match the app-calculated total.

The price shown in the app is final. Drivers are prohibited from soliciting additional cash for the agreed trip.

Customer Responsibilities

Your obligations when using the service

  • Provide accurate location data.
  • Be ready at the pickup time; wait time fees apply after the grace period.
  • Treat drivers with respect.
  • Security Verification: First-time riders paying by card may be asked to complete a quick Face or ID verification to confirm card ownership. Returning customers with 1+ completed rides are automatically trusted and skip this step.

Service Issues

Problems during your ride

  • If a ride is not completed due to a vehicle breakdown or driver error, a full refund will be issued.

Start your booking

  1. Launch the Web App/Mobile App.
  2. Location: Enter precise Pickup and Drop-off locations.
  3. Type: Select "One Way" or "Return".
  4. Schedule: Choose "Ride Now" or schedule a future date/time.

Step 3: Secure Payment & Verification

Complete your booking

  1. Review: Check the Total Distance and Cost.
  2. Select Payment:
    • Card: Enter details via WiPay. First-time riders: You may be prompted to take a quick selfie or upload ID to verify card ownership. Returning customers skip this step.
    • Bank Transfer: Send funds to Scotiabank (Acct: 904153614981, Holder: CONSUMARWISE SHOPPING LTD) and upload/send the receipt.
  3. Confirmation: Once paid, your ride is posted to the driver network.

  • Assignment: When a driver claims your ride, you will see their name, photo, and vehicle plate number.
  • Live Tracking: Use the "Track Driver" button to see their real-time location on the map.

Information We Collect

Data we need to provide our service

  • Personal Info: Name, Phone Number, Email.
  • Location Data: Pickup/Drop-off coordinates. We collect real-time location data from Drivers to facilitate tracking. We collect Customer location data only when you use the "Current Location" feature or during an active ride for safety monitoring.
  • Communication Data: We collect and store records of in-app messages exchanged between you and the driver through our platform. This includes the content of the messages, timestamps, and sender information. This data is stored securely in our database (Firebase) to facilitate the service and for safety/dispute resolution purposes.
  • Security Data: For first-time riders paying via Credit/Debit Card, we may collect a Face Photo and/or Identity Documents (ID Photos) to verify card ownership and prevent fraud. This data is encrypted and used solely for verification. Returning customers (1+ rides) are not required to provide this data again.
  • Device Info: IP address and device identifiers for security logging.

What types of rides does Tranzit Taxi offer? +

We offer three main service categories:

  • Economy Ride: Standard private cars (Sedans/Hatchbacks) for up to 4 passengers.
  • Luxury Ride: High-end vehicles (SUVs/Premium Sedans) for enhanced comfort and style.
  • Maxi Taxi (Charter): Large 15-32 seater vehicles for groups. Note: Maxi Taxis are available for Scheduled Rides only (must be booked in advance).

How do I book a ride? +
  1. Enter Details: Input pickup/drop-off locations and choose "Ride Now" or "Schedule".
  2. Select Vehicle: Choose Economy, Luxury, or Maxi Taxi based on the upfront price.
  3. Pay & Verify: Pay via Card or Bank Transfer.
  4. Track: Watch your driver arrive in real-time.
Can I see the driver's location or track my ride in real-time? +

YES. The Tranzit Taxi app offers Live GPS Tracking. Once a driver accepts your booking, you can click the "Track Driver" button to see their real-time location on the map as they approach you and during your journey.

How is my fare calculated? +

Fares are calculated upfront based on distance and time:

  • Economy: Base $12.00 + $1.75/km + $1.00/min. (Min Fare: $25.00)
  • Luxury: Base $25.00 + $2.50/km + $1.25/min. (Min Fare: $40.00)
  • Maxi Taxi: Base $250.00 + $5.00/km. (Min Fare: $150.00)
  • Waiting Time: Pre-paid at $10/hr (Economy) or $15/hr (Luxury).
  • Return Fee: Fixed $10.00 fee for return trips.
How do I communicate with my driver? +

We have a secure In-App Chat. You can message your driver directly through the dashboard. If you are offline, these messages are sent to your email to ensure you don't miss them. Drivers may also call or WhatsApp you if urgent.

Payment options and verification

Do I have to pay upfront? +

Yes. To ensure safety and commitment for our drivers, payment must be confirmed before dispatch.

What payment methods are accepted? +

We offer three convenient payment options:

  • Debit/Credit Card: Pay securely via the app for instant confirmation.
  • Cash Payment: You can choose to pay with cash. You will pay the driver the exact fare shown in the app directly upon completion of the ride.
  • Bank Transfer: Transfer funds to our Scotiabank account and upload your receipt.
Why is the app asking for a Face Photo or ID? +

If you're a first-time rider paying by Credit/Debit Card, the app may ask you to take a quick selfie or upload your ID. This one-time verification confirms you are the authorized cardholder and helps prevent fraud.

Good news: Once you've completed 1+ rides, you're automatically trusted and won't be asked for this again. Bank Transfer users also skip this step.

Can I pay the driver cash? +

Yes. If you select "Cash" at checkout, you will pay the full fare directly to the driver.

Drivers are strictly prohibited from soliciting extra cash beyond the app's calculated fare for the agreed trip. If a driver demands more than the app price, please report it to support immediately.

Do I need exact change for cash payments? +

We strongly recommend having the exact fare ready, as drivers may carry limited change for safety reasons.
